UCSF Student Health and Counseling is an integrated healthcare delivery system. You have the benefit of providers who work as one team and under one roof. Counselors, primary care providers, nurses, and the nutritionist can provide tailored consultation about your needs. Additionally, there is insurance staff that can support you in navigating the referral and claims process if enrolled in UC SHIP.

For specialty care services outside of the scope of Student Health and Counseling, they often refer to the UCSF Center of Excellence for Transgender Health:  transhealth.ucsf.edu  415-885-7770.

For information on what gender related services the Student Health Insurance (SHIP) covers, call Student Health and Counseling and ask to speak with the insurance coordinator at: (415) 476-1281 or email: [email protected].
